Exploring Future Leadership Through Culture, Quantum Art, and Youth Imagination at ASEAN Quantum Summit 2025

As part of ASEAN Malaysia 2025: Inclusivity and Sustainability, the Anticipatory Leadership Workshop will bring together thought leaders, researchers, and creative practitioners for an invitation-only session exploring leadership, culture, and emerging quantum futures through interactive dialogue and collaborative learning.

The ASEAN Quantum Summit 2025, held under the banner of ASEAN Malaysia 2025: Inclusivity and Sustainability, will feature the Anticipatory Leadership Workshop—an exclusive invitation-only session designed to foster conversations at the intersection of leadership, culture, and the future of quantum technologies.

The workshop aims to create a dynamic space where participants can engage in forward-looking discussions, interactive activities, and collaborative exchanges focused on navigating future challenges and opportunities in an increasingly complex world.

Featured speakers include Dr. Tim Smith, Leads Coordinator at the Open Quantum Institute, CERN; Dr. Choong Pak Shen of INSPEM, Universiti Putra Malaysia, who will host the workshop; and TÀE CreativeLab, CEO of Quantum Art Thailand (QAT) and CreativeLabTH Group.

A key highlight of the program will be a talk by TÀE CreativeLab titled “Culture as a Compass: Leading Future Worlds Through Quantum Art and Youth Imagination.” The session will explore how culture can serve as a guiding force in shaping future societies, while highlighting the role of quantum art and youth imagination in expanding the ways people envision and engage with emerging futures.

Participants will also take part in several interactive experiences, including the “Quantum Diplomacy” Game, designed to encourage strategic thinking and collaborative decision-making, as well as an Interactive Roundtable Discussion that brings together diverse perspectives from across disciplines and sectors.

Through these activities, the workshop seeks to inspire new approaches to future-oriented leadership by integrating scientific innovation, cultural understanding, artistic expression, and youth-driven imagination.

The Anticipatory Leadership Workshop will take place on 10 December 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Bilik Helix (Helix Room), Faculty of Science, located within Dewan Sultan Iskandar, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia.
